A lifeline for the elderly and their families

On September 2nd 1989 the Day Centre was opened as a meeting place for older residents in Over and surrounding villages.

More than 30 years on and the temporary portakabin is now a purpose-built care facility with qualified staff providing a safe and friendly environment for people from all over South Cambridgeshire, many of whom are dependent on our free minibus service to and from the Centre.

Our goal is to help our clients remain as independent, socially active and physically mobile as possible, so they can continue to live as contributing members of their local community. We’re also a support for families who need respite from the emotional and/or physically exhausting challenges of caring for a loved one on a daily basis.

To request more information, please call our Care Team on 01954 231807 or complete our enquiry form.

What's on

I come to the centre because it gets me out of the house on my own. I can’t walk very far because I have a problem with my leg and my eyesight is failing. I used to enjoy knitting and reading, but my eyesight means that I can’t do anything anymore. The centre gives me something to do where my sight doesn’t matter. I can talk to friends and staff.
